# Team members and website access

> Invite teammates, choose which customer websites they can see or manage, and keep workspace administration separate.

**In short:** A workspace has one owner, admins and members. Owners and admins manage every website. Members either read all current and future websites or receive Viewer or Manager access to selected websites. Invite people and edit their access under **Workspace settings › Members**.

## Workspace roles

Every workspace has exactly one owner. Anyone except the owner can leave under **Workspace settings > General > Leave workspace**.

## Website access

For an ordinary member, choose one of these policies:

- **All websites, read-only** includes existing websites and any added later. Members can read their dashboards, revenue, journeys and visitor profiles, but cannot change settings or see integration keys.
- **Selected websites** gives access only to checked websites. Choose **Viewer** for read access or **Manager** to allow settings, keys, integrations, goals, funnels and share embeds. An empty selection grants no website access.

A website Manager cannot invite teammates, inspect workspace billing, create another website or see other customers' websites. Assigning pending Dodo payments remains an owner/admin action because it can affect payment ownership across websites.

Existing members keep their previous read access to all websites until an owner or admin changes it.

## Invite someone

### Open Members

Click the workspace name, choose **Workspace settings**, then **Members**.

### Choose the role and websites

Under **Invite someone**, enter the email and keep **Member** for limited access. New invitations start with no selected websites. Search and select websites, then choose **Viewer** or **Manager** for each, or select **All websites, read-only**. Only the owner can choose **Admin**, which grants management of every website.

### Send the invitation

Click **Send invite**. The recipient signs in or creates an account with that email address. Invitations normally expire after 7 days; an operator can configure a different period.

Pending invitations can be resent or revoked. Admin invitations can only be managed by the owner. Your plan must include team members; its member limit counts current members and pending invitations.

## Change or remove access

Choose **Website access** next to a member, update their selection and save. Unchecked websites become unavailable immediately. The app refreshes access when a tab becomes active; an already-open page cannot continue writing after access is revoked.

Only the owner can change a workspace role. Owners can remove admins and members; admins can remove ordinary members. Removing someone ends their access. Weekly reports, previews and goal alerts follow the recipient's current website access, including messages waiting to be sent.

**Recent access changes** records who changed roles, site access and invitations. Owners and admins can review earlier entries; the history keeps up to one year of changes.

## Transfer ownership

The owner can open the **More actions** menu next to another member and choose **Make owner**. Transfer is blocked while a subscription remains attached; cancel and resolve it first. The new owner takes over billing and role management, and the previous owner becomes an admin.

## Several workspaces

Use the workspace menu to switch workspaces or create a **New workspace**. Each has its own websites, members and plan. Only your first workspace starts with a trial; later workspaces need a plan before websites can be added.

## Frequently asked questions

### Can a teammate manage one customer website without seeing another?

Yes. Invite them as a **Member**, choose **Selected websites**, select that website and set its access to **Manager**. Leave the other websites unchecked.

### What does All websites read-only include?

It lets the member read every current website and websites added later. It does not let them change settings, create websites or manage the workspace.

### Who can invite an admin?

Only the workspace owner can invite admins or change a member's workspace role. Admins can invite ordinary members and manage their website access.
