Plans, billing and usage limits

How Revfaro's free trial, plans, monthly event limits and billing work, what counts as an event, and what happens when you reach your limit or a plan ends.

In short

Your first workspace starts a 7-day free trial of the Traction plan, no credit card needed. Launch, Traction and Velocity differ by monthly events, websites, team members, data history and features, and each is sold monthly or yearly, with yearly paid upfront. Page views, goals and outbound clicks count as events; usage resets on the 1st of each month (UTC), on yearly plans too. At 100% your dashboards lock until you upgrade or the month rolls over, but tracking keeps running, so no data is lost.

Current prices are also on the pricing page. This page explains how plans, limits and billing work.

Revfaro is a subscription service. Plans are billed monthly or yearly through Dodo Payments. Lifetime access is not offered.

The free trial

Your first workspace starts a 7-day free trial as soon as it is created, with the features and limits of the Traction plan. No credit card is needed. A banner counts down the last days, and Plan & billing shows how many days are left. Choose a plan any time before the trial ends to continue without interruption.

When a trial ends without a plan, new visits and goals are no longer recorded and dashboards pause. Nothing you collected is deleted, and payments your provider sends by webhook are still recorded: they show up once a plan is active again. Pick a plan to pick up where you left off.

Workspaces you create later don't get another trial, and joining a workspace by invitation doesn't start one. For a new workspace, the owner chooses a plan under Plan & billing before adding websites.

What plans include

Limit or feature What it means
Monthly events Page views, goals and outbound clicks per calendar month, for all websites in the workspace
Websites How many websites the workspace can track
Team members Members plus pending invitations
Data history How long visits, events and payments are kept
Revenue attribution Connect payments and see revenue by source
Funnels Funnels
Live view The live view
API access The Payments API and the Goals API
Team members (feature) Inviting people to the workspace

When something isn't part of your plan, Revfaro says so where you'd use it, such as "Funnels are not part of your plan", with a link to upgrade.

What counts as an event?

Counts Doesn't count
Page views Engaged-time pings
Goals, from the script or the Goals API identify calls
Outbound link clicks Payments and refunds
Bot hits (they have their own limit)
Excluded traffic

Usage is counted per calendar month in UTC and resets on the 1st, whatever day your subscription renews. A yearly plan has the same monthly allowance as the monthly plan: you can't use a year of events in one month. Plan & billing shows this month's usage under Usage this month.

When you reach your limit

  • At the warning threshold, owners and admins get an email and a banner shows how much of the month's events are used.
  • At 100%, dashboards are locked until you upgrade or the month rolls over. Tracking keeps running: visits, goals and payments are still recorded, so nothing is lost.
  • While locked, goal alerts, weekly reports and embedded share cards pause too.

Change, cancel or manage your plan

Only the workspace owner can manage billing. Open the workspace menu at the top left and choose Plan & billing:

  • Subscribe to a plan, monthly or yearly.
  • Upgrade to a higher plan or from monthly to yearly. You see the amount due before you confirm, and the plan switches once the payment is confirmed.
  • Downgrade to a lower plan or from yearly to monthly. The change starts at your next renewal, and you keep your current plan until then. Choose Keep my current plan to undo it.
  • Cancel renewal stops future charges. You keep your plan until the paid period ends, and you can turn renewal back on until then.
  • Manage billing opens the billing portal of Dodo Payments, our merchant of record, for your payment method and invoices.

Admins can view the plan and usage, with a note to ask the owner for changes. Ordinary members cannot open billing or see workspace-wide usage counts; access warnings ask them to contact a workspace admin.

When a subscription ends

Situation What happens
Cancelled Access continues until the end of the paid period, then tracking pauses.
Payment past due Access continues while Dodo retries. Update your payment method.
Payment failed The plan is on hold. Update your payment method in the billing portal.
Expired, paused or refunded Tracking pauses and dashboards show "Your plan is inactive".

In every case your data is kept, payments sent by webhook keep being recorded (they show up once a plan is active again), and subscribing again resumes tracking. To delete a workspace that has a renewing subscription, cancel it in the billing portal first.

Data history

If you downgrade, existing websites and team members stay, but you can't add more until you are back inside the limits.

Each plan keeps your data for a set time (its data history). Visits, events, payments and bot hits older than that are deleted permanently. See Privacy and data.

Frequently asked questions

What counts as an event in Revfaro?

Page views, goals (from the script or the Goals API) and outbound link clicks. Engaged-time pings, identify calls, payments, bot hits and excluded traffic are not counted.

What happens when we reach our monthly event limit?

Owners and admins get an email when usage crosses the warning threshold. At 100% the dashboards are locked until you upgrade or the next month starts. Tracking keeps running, so no data is lost.

What happens when the free trial ends?

New events are no longer recorded and dashboards pause until the owner picks a plan. The data you already collected is kept.

Can we change or cancel our plan?

Yes. An upgrade applies once its payment is confirmed, and you see the amount first. A downgrade or a move from yearly to monthly starts at your next renewal. Cancelling stops future charges and keeps access until the end of the period you paid for, then tracking pauses.

Is yearly billing paid upfront?

Yes. The full yearly price is charged when you subscribe, and the plan renews every 12 months until you cancel renewal. The monthly event allowance is the same as on the monthly plan and refreshes each month.
